Presentation

The Railway Action Association Cetren is a private non-profit entity. It was set up on 14 October 1980 with support from 66 Spanish undertakings linked to the railway sector.

Since its creation, Cetren’s basic mission has been to encourage, promote and protect railways as a means of transport; and also to increase the knowledge, awareness and promotion of Spanish rail technology by making it better represented and better known internationally.

Currently Cetren includes the vast majority of the main undertakings linked to the railway industry. Under the Organic Law regulating the right of association and in accordance with its own Articles of Association, it complies with the rules determined by its supreme body, the General Assembly. Its governing body is the Governing Board made up of 20 of its members.
